Check Eligibility: Confirm your cumulative GPA is 3.0 or higher.
Schedule Advising: Contact the CCS Global Engagement Office at 313-664-7449 or book an appointment online to discuss how this trip fits your academic path.
Passport Check: Check your passport expiration date. It must be valid for at least 6 months beyond June 14, 2027 (meaning it should not expire before December 2027). If you need a new passport, apply now to avoid standard processing delays.

Submit Internal Application: Complete the CCS Study Abroad Application and get the mandatory written permission from your Department Chair.
Financial Planning: Meet with the CCS Financial Aid Office (313-664-7497) to explore if any summer grants, institutional aid, or external scholarships apply to short-term faculty-led travel.

Program Deposit: Pay your initial program deposit to secure your roster spot once accepted by the faculty leaders.
Health Insurance Verification: Ensure your current health insurance covers international travel. If it does not, you must purchase a supplemental global health insurance policy as required by CCS policy.

Book Your Flights: Once the Global Engagement Office officially clears the program's enrollment minimums, book your round-trip flights. Look for arrivals into major German hubs (like Berlin or Frankfurt) depending on the faculty instructions.
Course Registration: Register for the specific summer study abroad course block during CCS summer registration to ensure you receive your academic credits.

Attend Orientations: Attend all mandatory CCS pre-departure orientation sessions to review the final itinerary, emergency contact protocols, and behavior policies.
Pack Light & Smart: Prepare for walking-heavy itineraries through design hubs. Pack a portable charger, notebook/sketchbook, and versatile layers.
Departure: Head out on May 31, 2027!
